Martyne O’Brien has 20 years’ experience, having to deliver workplaces for the banking, insurance and technology sectors over the past 20 years throughout Australia and Asia. With experience on both the consultant and client sides, Martyne has undertaken strategic planning and delivery roles across multiple disciplines within the corporate and retail real estate industry, providing corporate real estate services ranging from interior design and project management services to strategy development, space planning, project implementation and management, programme and account management.
Martyne’s history includes roles for American Express, undertaking long and short term strategy and space planning for the Japan and Asia Pacific properties; Barclays Capital, measuring occupancy across the portfolio and developing responsive policies and plans to achieve cost efficiencies; workplace analysis for UBS across the Asia-Pacific region, managing design standards, project implementation, and premises; and for the Macquarie Group’s portfolio in Sydney, managing projects across multiple buildings.
For these and other clients, Martyne has demonstrated skill in analysing, developing, and implementing a corporate workplace design standard solution. She has a keen interest in the overall operations management of real estate processes within multi-nationals and has developed an understanding of how each division plays their part in implementing the business strategic direction and plan. This knowledge allows her clients to continue operating their business with the assurance of a supportive real estate function behind them.
